Candlewood Suites

The Candlewood Suites Jersey City is the only suite hotel located in the heart of the Jersey City, the financial district. Conveniently located near the Newport Financial Center, Exchange Center and the Harborside Financial Center, the candlewood Suites Jersey City has 8 floors with 214 suites in total. The Hotel is located between the Pavonia path stations and the Exchange Place, making it convenient for us to choose this hotel as our stay. The trains from these stations directly took us to the midtown Manhattan. We also had the option of taking the NY Waterway Ferry Service located just several steps away from the hotel. as soon as we entered the Candlewood Suites Jersey City hotel, we were greeted by a team of polite staff extending their welcome for joining as the guests at their hotels. The multilingual staff present at the hotel is found convenient for us in our further process of registration at the hotel. English, Tagalog and Spanish are the languages spoken by the hotel staff. In contrast to the other hotels which do not allow the pets inside, this hotel allowed our pets inside the hotel but at some additional cost. We paid a non-refundable fee of $75 for the pets. They charged $75 for a stay of 1-6 days for the pet’s stay and $ 150 for more than 7 nights. They had some more criteria regarding the pets. The pet’s weight should be less than 80 lbs. as our pet weighed much less than 60 lb, it didn’t take much time for us to complete the registration formalities. However, we had to sign a pet agreement before we checked-in.

The suite allotted to us was very spacious with full kitchen equipped complete with full size refrigerator and a microwave. The oversized work area with the executive desk is located to work efficiently on any of the business or personal matters. The executive desk contained high speed free internet access along with two individual phone lines—one for checking our mail and at the same time, talking on the phone. The room is also equipped with the overstuffed recliner for relaxing while enjoying the VCR and CD player. In order to release ourselves from any stress, the hotel has provided the fitness center and the Candlewood Cupboard.

During our check-in time, we were made to know the entire features, services and amenities of this hotel. Consisting of 8 floors, the Hotel features 214 guestrooms, 214 single-bed rooms, 214 suites, 178, non-smoking rooms along with the interior corridor. The Onsite Fitness and Health Center works 24 hrs a days being equipped with Universal Weight, stationary Bicycle and Treadmill. The hotel has an on-site self-laundry facility with washer as well as dryer, and also it has the service of dry cleaning laundry/pickup. There is also an ATM machine available round the clock as an added convenience. A safety deposit box was made available to us at the front desk as an added security.

If New York is our destination, then the Candlewood Suites Jersey City will surely be our stay!!!
