When I searched for a nice hotel on the internet to stay during my vacation-cum-business trip to Birmingham, I came across Fairfield Inn by Marriott. Fairfield Inn is located in the centre of Birmingham near UAB. I enjoyed the Alabama hospitality and the southern charm at this hotel. Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center, Carraway Methodist Hospital, Boutwell Auditorium, Vulcan McWane Center, Civil Rights Museum, Alabama Adventure are some of the famous tourist attractions that are located near Fairfield Inn, Birmingham. I reached the hotel from the International Airport at no time as it is only 7 miles away from the airport. The hotel offers only non-smoking suites and I thoroughly enjoyed the extra-large suites with deluxe bedding and amenities. The Jimmy Dean sandwich offered by the hotel as complimentary breakfast satisfied my hunger when I first entered my suite in the morning.
I was offered a spacious king-size bed with thick mattresses, fluffy pillows and cotton-rich linens. I carried out my work at leisure as the suite has a huge well-lit work area with ergonomic desk and chair. They have also provided two telephones, voice mail and data ports which made my work much easier. Also, I made free local calls to my clients from the hotel itself and the high-speed internet access also helped me a lot in sending numerous e-mails to my clients. The hotel also offers fax and copy service and spacious guest rooms. I watched TV at my leisure time as the hotel offers TV with cable at each and every room. I also enjoyed the warm swimming pool, whirlpool and whirlpool tub rooms.
I never felt at home during my earlier trips, but Fairfield Inn offered me every comfort that I can get at my home and this made things easier for me. The staffs are highly accommodating and they responded to my queries even during odd hours. Due to the same day dry cleaning service, I had the opportunity to wear fresh clothes whenever I ventured out. I got snacks and beverages without any difficulty as the hotel vending machines. The hotel also provides handicap-accessible rooms and also card-key security system to the guest rooms. So, I also had the opportunity to entertain some of my friends during my stay at Fairfield Inn.
The room service was superb and the individual room temperature control system allowed me to enjoy a good night sleep. The hotel staff even provided me hair dryer and in-room ironing board and iron which I would recommend the other hotels to follow. The terrific food and the polite staff are the two things that gave me great pleasure during my stay at this hotel. The hotel also provides living room with separate working space and sleeping space and also mini-refrigerator, microwave oven with some suites. I am planning for an extended stay during my next visit due to these additional facilities offered by this hotel. I have traveled so many places and stayed in numerous hotels, but the excellent service provided by Fairfield Inn is above par when compared to other hotels that I have visited!
