I booked a suite at Hotel Mela situated in New York for a business-cum-vacation trip through the Hotelplanner group website, which is the best place for business travelers like me as it contained information about the best hotels at most affordable rates. We were given luxury suites and there were separate bed arrangements for our kids. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mela which is a brand new luxury boutique hotel situated in 120 West of 44th Street in New York between Broadway and Avenue of Americas or 6th Avenue. Our hotel was in a central location just nearby to major tourist and business attractions such as Madison Square Garden, Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Rockefeller Center, MoMa, Broadway, Times Square, Grand Central Station. We spent some time for shopping in exciting and fashionable shops of Herald Square, Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue.
We felt that Hotel Mela is the best place that an intimate and elegant experience of a Midtown Manhattan hotel to its guests. The Hotel boast suites and modern guest rooms, earth tone decorated, providing us an atmosphere of classic sophistication and modern luxury. All the suites and guest rooms have been designed and decorated to offer perfect relaxation and unique comfort. We felt happy and satisfied with the wide range of amenities such as pure Egyptian cotton linen, deluxe mattresses with fine duvets, Alarm/CD clocks connected with MP3, flat screen LCD television, two line telephone services along with land-line and cordless phones, hair dryers, safes, mini-bars, free WiFi and HSIA. We were able to enjoy excellent dining offered at hotel’s lounge and restaurant. We also had a busy work out in fitness center. We are also very happy with the services of concierge and multi-lingual staff at the hotel.
We saw Hotel Mela as a combination of history and culture of New York along with Italian life style. The hotel, for us, is a departure from the rest of hip and sleep boutiques consuming the hotel market of New York. As a boutique property, Hotel Mela or Hotel and University Club Row are very popular for the past two decades. The hotel is just steps away from many land marks such as Grand Central Terminal, Fashion districts, Theater, Times Square. Hotel Mela consists of 230 rooms in a peaceful environment with comfort as the motto of their service. The hotel accommodation features earth tone furnishing with classic and modern accents featuring throws and decadent seating.
Our stay at the hotel gave a great thrilling experience to us due to the superb rooms, great location and we thank the excellent staff for this. We stayed at Hotel Mela for the first time and now we have decided to stay at Hotel Mela whenever we visit the city of New York. The staffs were courteous, informative and very helpful. The service provided by Hotel Mela is the best that one can expect from a quality hotel. The staffs were very helpful and took care of our every need such as food, reservation and transportation even at odd hours.
