InterContinental Los Angeles Century City is a fabulous hotel that made our stay there memorable. We had taken a trip to Los Angeles to visit the famous studios of Hollywood. The Westside address of the hotel was very convenient for us to walk to Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive, MGM Tower and the 20th century Fox studios. We did some shopping at Westfield Century City. We were also told that UCLA, beach and Los Angeles city are located at a short distance from our hotel.
The hotel staff rendered excellent assistance as they can spoke English, Dutch, German, French, Japanese, Italian, Spanish and Korean fluently. The hotel is located in a calm and peaceful suburban area that is very close to the city Los Angeles. The hotel was recently renovated in the year 2004 and has 14 floors, 180 suites, 363 Guest Rooms, 71 double bedded rooms, 292 single bedded rooms, 275 non-smoking rooms and an interior corridor. All major credit cards such as Carte Blanche, Diners Club, Visa, Discover, JCB, American Express and Master Card are accepted for the services in the hotel. Our family took advantage of onsite health and fitness centre and spent some time on recreation and entertainment in the outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, treadmills, steam bathing, stationary bike, stair stepper and cardio vascular equipment.
We also had a nice time with the help of spa facilities provided at Spa Intercontinental featuring Zen inspired villas. In the intimate spa oasis, we felt complete tranquility and ultimate privacy in Whirlpool and Sauna. The hotel provided us good services in Laundry and housekeeping which included daily and weekly housekeeping, shoe shine, same day dry cleaning pickup and laundry. We used the service of Concierge Desk of the hotel to tour within the city which also has airline desk, rental car desk, tour desk and travel agent desk and foreign currency exchange. We purchased some gifts for our friends and family members at the Gift shop located at the hotel.
We were very happy with the activities and services provided for our children including baby sitting. The hotel is also a good spot for business travelers like me. I used email and internet, copying, PC, facsimile, printer, wireless data connection with no initial fee and secretarial services to carry out my business smoothly. The services provided at the hotel to us are unique and are best in the hotel industry especially the concierge services, ice machine, Cash/ATM machine, safety deposit at front desk, 24 hour lounge, bellman and porter.
Apart from the above, the hotel also provided us premium services like valet service, turndown service, free morning newspaper in our room, entertainment services such as satellite/ cable TV, color TV, CD player, high end video equipment, DVD player and in room movies. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the refreshment and kitchen services including the icemaker in the refrigerator, mini bar, silverware and plates/glassware at kitchen. We experienced the best of dining in Los Angeles at the Park Grill which has a stylish atmosphere and in an ideal backdrop. We had the best of environment and cuisine at Intercontinental Los Angeles and our stay here was pleasant and thoroughly enjoyable.
