I celebrated my wedding anniversary in great luxury at JW Marriott Hotel located at Pennsylvania Avenue in District Columbia. The hotel is located at a central place very adjacent to famous landmarks in Washington DC, providing easy access to museums, renowned monuments and cultural venues like Convention Center, National Port Gallery and National Theatre. The hotel is also located nearby to Washington Metro System and Reagan National Airport. We have liked not only the great location of this downtown hotel at Washington DC but also its features - 37,000 sq ft total meeting space and 22 meeting rooms making it distinctive in the whole city. We enjoyed the luxurious rooms which are well equipped with modern devices and high speed internet access and we are also provided video camera and 32 inch HDTV with a connection for our MP3 player.
During our stay at the hotel, we took the opportunity to visit some of the nearby attractions such as Washington Mall Area and Georgetown. We understood that the hotel is also very close to cities such as Baltimore (56.97 km), Alexandria (9.66 km), Falls Church (12.55km), Silver Spring (11.27km) and Arlington (4.99 km).
Our guests enjoyed the special features of Marriott like the plug in panel in the suites, LCD HDTV connected to laptop, camera and MP3. We enjoyed the luxury of Revive, the new bed with the thick mattresses, fluffier pillows and 300 thread count sheets. The suits at the DC hotel were well appointed and spacious for all our VIP guests. We were very happy to receive the services of the Concierge to order our continental breakfast and snacks. We liked the wireless high speed internet access facility offered at public areas, guest rooms and meeting rooms of the hotel.
As we visited the hotel during springtime, we opted for Spring Flower Power Package and we were offered flower themed cocktail and a nice breakfast. We liked the express check in as well as the express check out facility provided to us by the hotel staff. Apart from this we also admired the video checkout and video review billing facility. The hotel has a strict policy and they do not allow any pets. The DC hotel contains 34 suites, 738 rooms and 15 floors along with the 37000 sq ft meeting space and 22 meeting rooms and 1 concierge level.
We liked the complimentary services such as toll free phone calls and tea/coffee services offered at our room. We understood that the hotel provided business services such as fax service, copy service, overnight delivery/pickup, full service business center, translator and secretarial services. Our guests liked the services of the concierge desk, babysitting, newspaper delivery in room, daily housekeeping service, 24 hour room service, shoeshine stand, front desk, safe deposit boxes and valet dry cleaning.
As leisure travelers, we made Marriott as our ideal choice due to the excellent amenities and location of the hotel. We selected the hotel due to its downtown location, convenient and easy access to Metro System that helped to visit the city’s landmarks.
