Located in the Yan An West Road, the Regent Shanghai is located only minutes distant to this shopping district. As soon as we landed in Shanghai, we are lead to this wonderful hotel, which is located 45 minutes distant from the Pudong International Airport. As soon as one enters the premises, one can easily notice that the hotel is designed to particularly accommodate the desires of the discerning travelers. We had a stunning view over the Shanghai's striking line from our room. We had a 42-inch plasma TV in the room along with the broadband Internet access. We also had interconnecting rooms with twin and King bedding, dual phone line, voice mail, data ports, IDD, international multi-language television channels for movies, documentaries, sports and news. We are also offered rain forest showers, daily newspaper, workstation with lamp, iron/Ironing board, turn down service and daily maid service. We had everything we required in the room just in the reach of hands.
The hotel even is hosting a variety of exquisite cuisines that are served in the beautiful surroundings. We had the Shanghai V signature restaurant offering us the fantastic range of few of the most exquisite cuisines of Asia. The all-day-dining O2on2 restaurant offered us the choice of la Carte menu and a buffet for dinner, lunch and breakfast. There is even an Italian boutique restaurant called "Amici" which offers the customers the traditional authentic Italian cuisine cooked by the Italian chefs. The lobby lounge is the much-welcomed place for relaxing at the hectic day's end. Several of the leisure facilities of the hotel that we found are an open court for tennis, am infinity-edged 30-meter swimming pool, a fully-equipped gym and a world-class spa called L’Institut Guerlain Spa. We also found that the hotel has a combined meeting and banquet space including the multi-purpose ballroom fully equipped with the state-of-art convention facilities, making it also an ideal location for carrying out business operations.
The Regent Shanghai even provided personalized and comprehensive service for us. The personalized attention was shown right from or arrival including the home-to-hotel assistance for planning a trip. The onward trip planning was even made available to us including the assistance with the hotel reservations, reconfirmation airline ticketing at next destination regardless of where we are staying.
